Letterforms are essentially shapes and elements that create visual representation. To create visual “logos” for certain words takes a huge chunk of creativity, and the design flair to distill the logo down to its elementary form in order to visually communicate the meaning of the word. This literal form of the word, when created right, can provide a great inspiration for the rest of us designers out there.
Thanks to Ji Lee, the designer and creative director for Google Creative Lab, has done quite a nice job of achieving just that with this batch of word logos. Let their brilliance be embraced and let their simple solutions inspire you for your next project. Well done Ji!
